Abstract: The publication first published materials of the General Description of Left-Bank Ukraine 1765–1769, dedicated to the city of Baturyn and the Baturyn Hundred of the Nizhyn Regiment. The book includes documents mostly related to the city of Baturyn – the Hetman’s residence and the Hundred Center. They contain valuable information about the topography and toponymy of the city, its development, economy, population, age, origin and family ties of the inhabitants of the former Hetman’s residence.
