Abstract: The publication contains basic information on the history of the origin, formation and development of the “Hetman’s Hospital” – built by Hetman of Ukraine KG Rozumovsky in Baturyn in Chernihiv region. The reader will learn about the project of the first medical reform in Ukraine, about the first doctors and about the fate and role of the hospital in the period of command, zemstvo and Soviet medicine, about the contribution of individual doctors to medical science and practice. Of particular interest are data on the health and morbidity of the population.
